2025 Specialty Show (Smooth Vizslas)

This year, the VSO returned to hosting its Specialty Show on a Thursday (June 5^th), a day reserved for specialties organized by Erie Shores Kennel Club.  It was more relaxing and gave us time to mingle and socialize after our specialty was finished because no one had to run off with their dog to another specialty or breed class.

Many thanks to the following for helping to make this year’s Specialty Show on June 5^th a success.

Eileen Wilkes, Show Chair, for once again, organizing and providing lovely prizes for our Specialty Show (and a very nice Bowser Bed for our raffle!).

Ross Woolford for printing gorgeous tags for the prizes.

Eileen for ordering a sandwich tray and lots of incredibly delicious (low calorie - LOL) sweets for our luncheon.

Rachael Chadwick who came by to pick up and deliver to Erie Shores and then back to my place, tons of VSO 'stuff' in my basement and shed needed to set up our tents and raffle prizes, etc. because I was incapacitated with a fractured knee.

VSO members Scott Barlow, Dave Fansolato, Ashley Morrison, Wm Thompson and for helping to disassemble and pack everything into Rachael's and my cars.  I'm so sorry if I missed anyone!

Jill Pettapiece who brought along a number of Vizsla books (from a former VSO members’ library) which were free for the taking; we will take the remaining books to our Fun Day.

And of course, to all of the people who entered this year's show.  Congratulations to all the class winners!   We are so thankful and grateful to all Vizsla owners for making this event a success!

And lastly, MOTHER NATURE!  The forecast rain literally held off right up until I left.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for being so good to us!

I did a live feed of the show on Facebook but live feeds are only saved for 30 days, so it’s no longer there.

My personal gratitude also goes to John Campey for copy typing the show catalogue entries for publication in the Vizsla Voice.
