National Volunteer Week

OTTAWA, April 17, 2018 /CNW/ - National Volunteer Week (NVW) is a time to thank and celebrate the diverse value and far reaching impacts of Canada's 12.7 million volunteers.

Yes indeed!

This week is an opportunity to shine a light on the people and causes that inspire us to serve. Volunteerism empowers individuals to find their purpose, to take their passion and turn it into meaningful change. Volunteers play an important role in every aspect of our local, national, and global community, and the VSO is very fortunate to have so many terrific individuals who devote time and energy to managing our club and ensuring that members are provided with service, programs and events. I'd like to acknowledge all those in the past who have given back to the VSO and to thank those currently volunteering their time, expertise, experience, and enthusiasm to the VSO:

Board of Directors: Marcia McNabb, Lynda Friendly, Elaine Hopkins, Lois Brown, Caroline Davis, Leslie McCormick

Membership: Patti Callahan

Newsletter: Teresa Brown, Patti Callahan, Dee Cotter, Julie Donnell

Awards: Kim David, Caroline Davis

Breeders Working Group: Sharon Faulds, Susan Mulley, Tina Tanzi, Lois Brown, Caroline Davis

Rescue Calendar: Terry Sellers and his staff

Other: Ross Woolford

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your selfless devotion to the breed and to our club. Without your involvement in the VSO, we wouldn't have the Vizsla Society of Ontario and we wouldn't have such a fantastic organization!

Yours truly,

Sylvia Dorosh

VSO President
